We are looking for carers who can provide compassionate and personal care to a client who has requires trachestomy support. You will be supporting her in and around her own home in the Bermondsey area, SE16. 4-12 hour shifts will be mainly daytime weekends. We offer full care certificate training, support, and a genuine career pathway to help you fulfil your potential as a Care Assistant.

What we need from you:

• A caring, empathetic and compassionate nature
• Dedication, commitment and reliability
• Some flexibility as you will be supporting people in their own homes
• Good written and spoken communication skills including fluency in English
• This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check

Experience of the following would be advantageous:

• Mechanical Hoist and sling
• Stoma care
• Peg Feeding
• Nebuliser and Oral suction
• Catheter care
• Ventilation/ respiratory/ cough assist experience
• Basic first aid
• Nursing experience (desirable)
• Tracheostomy care (desirable – training can be provided)

Required qualification: Minimum NVQ level 2 in Health Care or equivalent qualification

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Salary: Up to £12.50 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Evening shift
• Weekend availability
